10 day trip to France

I’m also planning a 10-day trip to France but have no idea where to start. I’ve never been there before and want to make the most of my time. Should I focus on just one region or try to see multiple cities?

Do you have any recommendations for a good itinerary, places to visit, or things I shouldn’t miss? I’d love advice from anyone who’s done something similar!

Hi

A 10-day trip to France offers a fantastic opportunity to experience a mix of the country’s rich history, culture, and scenic beauty. A well-balanced itinerary could start with three days in Paris, where you can explore iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Montmartre. From there, take a train to the Loire Valley for 2 days of châteaux-hopping and relaxing in the countryside. Then, head south to Provence or the French Riviera for 3 days to enjoy the Mediterranean charm, lavender fields (seasonal), or glamorous beaches. Use your final two days in either Lyon, known for its vibrant food scene, or return to Paris for some last-minute shopping and sightseeing. France’s rail network makes it easy to get around, so you won’t feel rushed if you plan carefully.

Focus on quality over quantity—don’t try to cram in too many places or you’ll end up exhausted.
